WHAT: Few food and drink combinations are as festive and romantic as the age-old pairing of wine and cheese. But, for most, navigating the cheese aisle is an intimidating feat when hosting a holiday wine and cheese party. Just in time for the holiday season, a toute heure is here to help. Join a toute heure on Sunday, Dec. 8th, for a tasting of new seasonal cheeses released by esteemed American Artisan Cheesemakers. Learn how to impress your guests this year by getting to know more about these unique cheeses from small producers who farm sustainably with respect for land and animals.
Saxelby Cheesemongers, a toute heure’s monger for more than six years and some of the finest cheese experts in NYC, will lead the class. Saxelby Cheesemongers is based out of Essex Street Market in the East Village and works with select artisan, small batch cheesemakers throughout the U.S.
Guests will sample five cheeses, and all board items will be paired with house-made breads. Bring your favorite beer or wine to sample with the day’s offerings.
