Farm to Fork Celebration of Local Food and Farms

Tickets Now Available for five Course seasonal Dinner and Wine Benefit

Blairstown, NJ – Join the Foodshed Alliance on July 21st, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at A Toute Heure (http://www.atouteheure.com/about-kitchen.php), where chefs Kara Decker, Kelly Zavala, Robyn Reiss and Jessica Knik prepare dinner for a Farm-to-Fork celebration that incorporates locally-grown foods into their creations.

A Toute Heure, located in Cranford, New Jersey, is about great local food.  Fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from farmers, artisans, and markets in our local area allow our chefs to work with the best NJ has to offer. Their own 1/4 acre kitchen gardens, roughly 100 steps away, give new meaning to “farm-to-table” for their patrons and make them the perfect partner with the Foodshed Alliance to host this benefit dinner.  A Toute Heure was founded in 2007 by Jim + Andrea Carbine, and continues to work to offer asimple, delicious dining experience in the “garden state” of NJ.

The Farm-to-Fork event features an evening of five delicious courses plus passed hors d’oeuvres   and wines paired with each course from Alba Vineyard (www.albavineyard.com).  The event benefits the Foodshed Alliance; a grassroots, non-profit organization devoted to promoting sustainable farming and locally-grown food, fresh, healthy food through community outreach, education and events like this.

This true “local foods” dinner will feature the best of the season such as peppers, fennel, heirloom tomatoes, beef, pork, lamb, corn, scallops, Cape May Salts oysters, stone fruits, berries, cheeses and so much more that is available during this bountiful time of the year.  Farmers featured in the menu are Jack’s Run Gardens (their own 1/4 acre kitchen gardens), Dreyer’s Farm – Cranford, NJ, Wightman’s Farm – Morristown, NJ, Phillips Farm – Milford, NJ, Valley Shepherd Creamery-Long Valley, NJ and other local NJ area farms. Each signature course will feature food from a different local farm and be paired with selected wines that best compliment the freshness and flavor of the prepared artisan courses.

You are invited to reserve a seat at A Toute Heure to enjoy the bounty which surrounds this rural oasis. Tickets are $150 per person and seating is limited. To register and obtain directions,  please visit www.foodshedalliance.org, call 908-362-7967 or emailinfo@foodshedalliance.org.
